Announcing the first iPhone/iPad version of the popular dice game!

A Fistful of Penguins is a quick, engaging family dice game of gathering animals to add to your zoo. After three rounds, the person who has made the most money displaying animals wins.

To play, roll the special animal dice to get a selection of animals to add to your zoo. Each animal has a unique way to earn you money: kangaroos score by the square of their number, so if you want to score them, you should try to get a large group; lions are worth big bucks, but if you score lions, then only the lions score; camels are a decent 5 coins each, but they score zero if any lions are present; squirrels steal money from the other players; and moose score the most, but each moose must be paired with a squirrel in order to score.

Penguins dont earn you money, but they get you penguin tokens. A penguin token can be used to add another die to your group, or to reroll as many of your dice as you wish. This makes it very valuable to start your turn with a fistful of penguins...

The iOS version of A Fistful of Penguins includes:
* Universal version allows for play on iPad, iPhone or iPod touch,
* Five opponents to play against; each using a different strategy for play,
* A local scoreboard keeps track of your best scores, your average score, and your win percentage,
* Game Center integration with leader boards and fun achievements (Can you get 100 coins by only scoring lions?),
* Full VoiceOver compatibility for the visually impaired,
* and much, much more!

Pros and cons of A Fistful of Penguins app for iPhone and iPad

A Fistful of Penguins app good for

Love to play the game with friends at the table. Now with this App I can play it anytime. And it looks beautiful!
Great adaptation of the dice game, fun to play alone or with friends
It is a marvellous way to have this great game allways available to play with your friends! The cute artwork makes up for the great components of the "real" game. The controls are easy to use. You can even ply solitaire. It would be nice to have more challenging robots.
Scratches the same itch as Yahtzee, but with somewhat more interesting decisions. Its pretty easy to master, though, so its inexcusable that the AI is so poor.
Like the game. You do have a challenge if you want to strategize what you are doing, is a chance game so can be surprising when you reroll. I found it to be a challenge.
Good representation of dice game, which is one of my favorites.

Some bad moments

The game plays quickly and offers more thought than Yachtzee. It can be very addicting.
Good dice game. Good translation from the actual "board game".
Good and cute board game. It would take a game or two to get the hang of the scoring. Educational for young kids to exercise simple math skills and have fun.
An excellent translation of an awesome dice filler. A great way to pass the time. Recommended.
This app isnt as amazing as the actual game. It is nice though when there are no real people to play with.
When playing the different AI opponents, you see they follow one strategy exclusively, and their dice rolls tend to allow them to play that strategy. It leads me to believe the dice rolling isnt randomized for the AI. Otherwise, it is a very fun game, but not worth 99 cents. Im just glad I got it for free.
